Parent Testimonials

“It is so important for a parent to know that our children are safe, loved and respected. When we first enrolled our children at St. James Preschool, we felt confident that we were placing our precious children in capable, loving hands.  They were enrolled at SJP for three years and during all of that time, at every point we were happy about our decision.  There is so much fun to be had, lots of learning to do and sweet friends to remember.  The classroom sizes were small enough where we knew that the teachers had an opportunity for meaningful time with each child.  They are now in elementary school and still ask about SJP and their friends.  We would always recommend St. James Preschool to parents wanting a safe, caring environment.”

“Going to a catholic preschool gave me the early benefits of strong morals, a healthy support system for my family, and most importantly- a beautiful community. In fact, I’m still friends with some of the kids I met at St. James! The teachers at St. James Preschool not only care so deeply about the school itself, but every student who walks through the doors. I didn’t just receive a great foundation for my education, but also unconditional love I’ll remember forever. Walking through the halls of St. James so many years later, I look at the yearly pictures of all the kids on the playground and remember happy memories and a very happy childhood. St. James Preschool and the incredible people who care about it have given me so much.”

“St. James Preschool was an important milestone in my daughter’s education. When my daughter came back from our country, language and communication was a big concern for us. We looked at multiple private and public schools and could not feel convinced that our daughter will be successful. We stopped by St. James preschool, and we felt like home and made a decision it would be the right choice for our daughter. It was the best choice we have made, and thanks be to God. Religious education was also important to us and our daughter was blessed to have that as well at St. James preschool.”

“Our daughter attended the preschool from 2016-2019. We couldn’t be more pleased at how she blossomed during her time with the wonderful teachers she had. I truly believe that her education at the preschool helped her become the type of student she was in kindergarten.  She knew more than her peers and people were always surprised when I told them what she learned in preschool, like Spanish lessons, for example. She was an accelerated reader and was learning first grade sight words. Moreover, I was able to form friendships with some of the staff and the moms of our preschool group. These are members of our parish whom I would not have been able to befriend if it wasn’t for our preschool.”

“St. James Preschool has been a crucial part of our children’s development. All three of our kids attended St. James, and they were blessed by creative teachers who taught them early academic skills, but more importantly, the love of Christ. We are not even Catholic in denomination, but all three had such a positive experience there and were so loved and inspired by their teachers. These teachers fostered a love of learning in my children that has continued through their academic careers. They were all very well prepared for kindergarten.”

“I would love to share with you a little bit about what St. James Preschool has meant to my family over the past 4 years. St James Preschool took such good care of my children and made us feel so welcome. We made the effort to get my 3 children there from Lawrenceville, GA simply for the wonderful teachers, faith based learning, and sense of community that we found there. I loved how much my children learned about their Catholic faith. Their love of God was nurtured and they became more knowledgeable about Jesus. The addition of Spanish, music, PE (including yoga), cooking, art, programs, Pizza with Pop, and Tea with Mom made the experience even more special. I could go on and on about how grateful I am to the staff and teachers at St. James Preschool for giving my children such a good foundation.”

“You can drive around Henry County and find lots of daycares that offer Pre-K, and you can drive around and find plenty of other Christian preschools, but you cannot find any other Catholic preschool, and that is the difference for a Catholic family in Henry county. All four of my children still have very close friends they went to preschool with. These are the same friends they attended Faith Formation, EDGE and now LifeTeen with. I could have enrolled my children in the GA paid Pre-K program for free, at many places around town, but I valued the combination of Faith and Academics. I think it is important to be rooted in Faith, and I am so happy that our church home started connecting with my children from the earliest age.”

“We are the parents of three previous students who attended St. James the Apostle Preschool in the first few years of its opening. Their lives and ours were positively impacted by St. James the Apostle Preschool and all of the staff who nurtured and guided them in those early years. It helped to form our young children in the Catholic Faith and rooted them in our parish community. This ministry to our young family set the stage for friendships in the community that have thrived longer than any others for my children. The friends that they made in preschool are still their friends now in the Life Teen program at the parish. We credit the preschool program for starting them off well, building solid and Godly friendships, and setting a foundation for growing in their faith as teens and young adults.”

“I want to express how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to have two of my daughters attend St. James Catholic Preschool from 2016-2018. During those years the girls were taught the importance of religion, education and love from the extraordinary educators at St. James. Both my husband and I were extremely pleased with the knowledge our daughters express daily in which they have learned from being educated early on at St. James.  The amazing staff all influenced my daughters in ways that have helped mold them into respectful, God loving, intelligent and kind individuals. Those teachers are continuously mentioned in our household to this present day.”

“I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know how invaluable our years and experiences with St. James Preschool have been. Although it’s been several years since our kids attended preschool at St. James, they still remember some of the fun educational things they did. Our family has had the joy of participating in many of the ministries at St. James, but we can definitely credit the preschool, the preschool staff, the curriculum, and the many Catholic preschool activities as major factors in their strong love of God, Mother Mary, and devotion to our Catholic faith. “

“The preschool and the loving staff were all so important in the development of our son’s education as well as spiritual foundation. We researched and visited several other Catholic preschool programs in the south metro Atlanta, and St. James won our hearts.  I cannot say enough about everyone involved. It was truly an extension of our family to the point we invited our extended family to join us at St. James where their 3 cousins also attended. A referral is considered the highest honor of business and I continue to speak highly of the program and church to anyone looking for a preschool home.”

“Both of my children attended St. James Preschool.  When my son started there, it was the first time there would be someone other than his father and myself who would teach him, and the first time he would be away from me.  As a first time mother, this was a little nerve wracking for me.  I don’t know why I was nervous!  The preschool was the best experience for him!  He made life-long friends, learned how to adjust to changing activities, learned through play (which I believe is the best way to learn), and all with a group of wonderful ladies in a Catholic environment.  When I took him to kindergarten registration, the teacher who tested was very impressed with his knowledge and couldn’t believe he only attended preschool 3 days a week!  She was very complimentary of the program.  When my daughter was old enough to attend, I signed her up without hesitation.  The staff genuinely care about the children and love them as if they were their own.”

“My memories of the years my grandchildren attended St. James Preschool are so positive. I continue to be grateful for the love that the teachers show towards their students. They are a family. The creativity and time that teachers spend developing activities and presentations show their dedication. The tasks are unique to the grade level and on view as you walk the halls. In addition, the Catholic perspective is always there. ..seasonal presentations, interaction with a priest, recognition of holy days ..the All Saints Day Parade (my favorite). Both boys transitioned easily to their present school. For that we are truly grateful. We continue to be appreciative of the positive comments of their teachers, knowing that the core skills they received at St. James have made a substantial difference.”
